1)Pay attention to the timing of application.
Organic fertilizers take time to become effective and should be applied early. Generally, they are used as a one-time base application before sowing or transplanting. It is best to thoroughly decompose them before use, as later top-dressing is not as effective as using them as a base fertilizer.

Compound fertilizers work quickly. When used as a base fertilizer, they should be applied about a week in advance. For topdressing, they should be applied before the crop's critical nutrient period or peak nutrient absorption period to meet its needs.

Bio-organic bacterial fertilizer can only exert its antagonistic effect on harmful bacteria after extensive reproduction in the soil. Therefore, it should be applied early before planting to allow time for proliferation and growth. It can be applied together with organic fertilizer into the soil, or applied into the planting holes before or at the time of planting.
2)Pay attention to the method of application.
The primary function of organic fertilizer is to improve soil quality while providing nutrients. It is generally applied as a base fertilizer, so it should be combined with deep plowing to thoroughly mix the soil with the organic fertilizer, thereby improving soil conditions. When soil problems are severe, the use of biostimulants can be combined to better enhance the soil environment, balance nutrients, and increase soil aggregate structure, among other benefits.

For base fertilizers, because the nutrients in organic fertilizers are mainly nitrogen, the nitrogen fertilizer paired with organic fertilizer can be applied in smaller amounts, with 30% used as base fertilizer and 70% as top dressing. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be applied once as base fertilizers. Phosphorus fertilizer, due to its low mobility, is not suitable for later top-dressing, so it should be incorporated into the soil as a base fertilizer. Top-dressing chemical fertilizers should preferably be fully soluble and fast-acting, so that after decomposition they can be quickly absorbed by vegetables and have minimal impact on the soil.

Biological microbial fertilizers, due to their low dosages, can be concentrated and applied in the planting holes or together with organic base fertilizers. In later stages, the same type of microbial fertilizer can be applied multiple times to strengthen the microbial population, enhance phosphorus and potassium solubilization, and improve disease prevention.
