The nutritional value of exclusive marine algae
The main component of seaweed is carbohydrates. The carbohydrate content of
Sargassum varies among different species and growing regions, ranging from 40% to 76%, with seaweed polysaccharides reaching up to 20%.
When it comes to seaweed polysaccharides, there is no doubt that they are an irreplaceable and highly immune effective component of terrestrial plants, and their value has gradually been discovered in recent years. I think, compared to other sugars, its charm lies in its natural safety and no side effects!
Sargassum is famous for its high content of seaweed polysaccharides and high cost-effectiveness (low market pricing). Although formulators in the feed industry are currently using sugar from different sources, it is important not to forget that seaweed grows in water and is homologous to fish and shrimp. To some extent, it cannot be completely replaced. Therefore, in order to save costs and ensure nutrition, the highly cost-effective seaweed has caught people's attention.
Sargassum has a high ash content and abundant mineral content, with the main component of ash being mineral oxides. Sargassum contains relatively abundant K, Ca, and Fe, although its iodine content is lower than that of kelp.
In addition, the protein content of seaweed is about 10%, so Sargassum can completely replace some seaweed in these basic nutrients to save breeding costs.
